In this project, the Woodwards wished to have a bathroom that fused modern luxury with characterful farmhouse decals in their newly built home. As the main bathroom in the home, we knew that the room had to be functional as well as fabulous.
During the home survey, our design team decided to use the large central window, which had an unspoilt view of Chepstow Racecourse, as the focal point of the room. The walk in- shower and roll top bath were positioned on either side of the window. The room was divided into separate working zones and positioned the toilet and vanity on the adjacent wall. The client then customised the finishes and requested that the vanity be painted dove grey with white stone worktops.
Natural materials were incorporated into this particular design to harmonise inside the bathroom with outside in nature. We advised the Woodwards to work with a neutral colour scheme and mix materials to achieve the traditional-modern bathroom requested. The use of wall panelling around the perimeter of the room, painted in soft beige, added subtle detail and character to the design. To enhance the luxurious ambience, we also added warm white LED spotlights and recessed strip lighting in the alcoves. We believed this would provide the perfect mood lighting for our client to relax and unwind in their new bathroom.
